9-year-old College Student Dreams of Becoming an Astrophysicist to Prove God’s Existence

As a nine-year-old student, I would often go out and play with my friends and classmates. We enjoyed our childhood by exploring the world outside together with friends and family. But for 9-year-old William Maillis, planning for his bright future ahead is what matters most.

At only 6 months old, William was already able to identify words and numbers—and by 7 months old, he was able to speak complete sentences. He was two when he was able to read, write and use multiplication, he could read Greek aged four and geometry at five. Today, at nine years old, William is already a student at the Community College of Allegheny County.

William, from Penn Township, Pennsylvania, says he wants to be an Astrophysicist to prove God’s existence: ‘I want to prove to everybody that God does exist.’

He will do this by showing that only an outside force could be capable of creating the universe.
According to Peter’s history professor Aaron Hoffman, William is the only pupil who doesn’t take notes – instead, he listens, reads and absorbs the material.
When asked what his goal in life is, he says: ‘I want to prove to everybody that God does exist.’
